They have worked up an appetite for their fish and chips on the way home. WALKS - 2011 Our Summer walk was on 13 July at Marple Bridge. Here are our members by the dovecote at Roman Lakes. Our first walk of 2011, Spring Walk, was on 7th April when we met at Brooklands near Sale and walked all the way along the towpath of the Bridgewater Canal past the Old Trafford football ground as far as the Castlefields Basin in the centre of Manchester. The extent of the regeneration of this once derelict area was a revelation to most of us. We assemble at the start. Alongside Old Trafford football ground. Crossing the canal.
